A friend of mine told me about a artists that she thought I might be interested in, Sandra Fettingis a pattern based artist working within the fields of pattern, installations and murals. All of her work involves a process of layering different medias. It very much reminds me of my own way of working using collages and layering my own patterned work. I had been looking for another person who worked in a very graphics and geometric way. I was also asked after a tutorial to think about the colour pallet that I was using and to be more adventurous and more risk taking with it to pull away from the obvious green and yellows of the jungle. Looking at few of Fettingis work I really like the colour ways on her new neon work as seen below, Its the pink and Grey's that I am particulary interested in.
