I find inspiration normally through the natural world that surrounds me, over summer I visited a few wild life parks and what caught my attention was the vibrant colours and poise of the flamingos. I wanted to capture the grace and elegance that these birds hold. Through developing a array of mixed media drawings I was then able to begin developing my work into samples using hand and machine embroidery. I developed my Colour palette from a key painting of my own. I aim to build a body of work, drawing based from which I can go onto at a later stage to develop textile samples from.
