Developing kaleidoscope illustrations

Using a photo editing programs on my computer I was able to scan images into the computer and edit them as if they are being seen through a kaleidoscope. The first image is the drawing I chose to edit and the images are when edited. The first image came about taking the negative area pattern taking the shapes from that and creating a new pattern from that. I really like the graphic black used over the top it's the eye catching element that I have been striving to develope.
